- Granny- agreed. I'm sure Douglas's doctors are well paid and they still screwed up. We pay more for care in this country per person than any other by far, and don't receive a proportional amount of "better" care...in other words we aren't getting the bang for the big buck.

I would like to know just how you think that the state Louisiana was not reasonable for what happen in New Orleans. I am for Mississippi where the Governor declared the state of emergency before the storm. The Mississippi Guard was used on our coast.
The Governor of Louisiana never did declare a state of emergency. That meant that Louisiana spent none of there money, hell they must have not cared about there own people. In Mississippi we took care of our own, not waiting for the federal government to steep in. I may be wrong but it is my understanding that each state has its own government, I know Mississippi does. What the hell do they have in Louisiana?

All you really had to do was compare your taxable income and tax due from your 2007 return to the tax tables which are still irs.gov.

If you are 'middle class' whatever that means (let's say 62k for a married couple), you will see that the "only for the rich Bush tax cuts" saved you over 3 grand.

That "tax" cut you'll get under Obama will be a net increase of $2500.00
